Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

TTUHSC Managed Care – Tulia, TX

Full-Time | Rotating Schedule | Hours: 8am-4:30pm | One weekend Rotation Per Month

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Managed Care is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team in Tulia, Texas. This is a full-time rotating position supporting high-quality patient care in an ambulatory/managed care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and document as ordered in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Observe, identify, and report changes in patient responses to assist with care planning and outcomes
  • Prepare and operate equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Assist with or perform examinations and procedures; document all interventions in EMR
  • Maintain working knowledge of current clinical issues and treatment modalities
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures related to medication administration
  • Report unusual patient occurrences (reactions, behaviors, refusals) to the Registered Nurse
  • Perform support activities including: Ensuring drug room security, Stocking and maintaining medications and pharmaceutical equipment, Replacing facility medications and returning outdated medications to the pharmacy, Maintaining accurate log books
  • Generate print passes as required
