Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in behavioral health or psychiatric settings

  • Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects

  • Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

  • Implement individualized care plans focusing on safety, de-escalation, and patient well-being

  • Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care for patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with facility and state regulations

  • Support therapeutic groups and reinforce treatment plans

  • Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies following established protocols

  • Supervise and support LVNs, PCTs, or other staff members as appropriate

  • Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications
    • Current, active RN license in the state of Texas

    • BLS certification (required); CPI or equivalent crisis intervention certification preferred

    • Must pass a Central Abuse Registry check prior to assignment

    • Minimum of 18 months of experience in behavioral health, psych, or related care setting

    • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and crisis management skills

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, assist with mobility, and work on your feet for extended periods

    • Compassionate, patient, and professional approach to mental health care
